National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) is a non-profitable organization located in Pokhara, Nepal. It is established in 2012 A.D. It consists of multidisciplinary team members from all specialties of health, sports medicine and management. We recognize that health problems are associated with multiple factors and certain lifestyle choices such as poor nutrition, lack of scientific exercise and psychological counseling for players. To address these issues, all concerned professionals of NASM are eager to apply their knowledge, training and dedication to promote healthier lifestyles of professional, budding and amateur players as well as general population in Nepal. An integrated specialized team is dedicated to help the athletes train better, prevent injuries and give proper rehabilitation for the injured once and handle even the critical emergency sports injuries.

Injuries are an integral part of any sports. Evidence has shown that sports injuries are not merely accidents but predictable events that are in most cases preventable. With proper risk factors assessment and scientific injury prevention program, injuries can be greatly minimized. The passion of sports in Nepal is immense. But we have been lacking behind in each and every sport since decades. There are plethoras of reasons for this. Among these injuries, lack of proper nutrition and training, practice of PPE is not in use till date which has to be implemented in practice from today only.
